    Samples in hand. We check pipes, skirting boards, uneven walls and which way the doors need to open.

    Production

    Your parts are cut, edged and drilled to size, the hardware is on our own shelf. That is why it does not take eight weeks.

    Installation

    Two fitters, filler strips cut to size on site, left clean. Photos and invoice the same day.

    Open system without doors, so more metres for the same money. For a separate room or an attic.

    Closed below, open above, room for the TV and books. The piece that defines the room.

    The angle of the roof measured and carried into the doors. No more wasted triangle in the attic.

Everything you see here is in stock at our supplier. That is why we can promise a date. Veneer or a lacquer colour is possible too, with a longer lead time.

On a screen a finish is only an approximation. That is why we bring real samples when we measure, and you can also have them sent home for free.

A cabinet costing a few thousand euros is bought on trust. This is what we put against that, in black and white in the quote.

  • Fit guaranteeIf it does not fit as drawn, we adjust it or make it again. No bill.

For more than ten years we have made cabinets in houses where no wall is straight, until now as part of renovations. The same people measure, make and install. That lets us promise two things others do not: it fits, and it is in within three weeks.

Custom cabinets in new-build districts

New build has straight walls, and still no standard cabinet fits: the children's room is 2.80 wide, the hallway 1.10, the attic has two slopes. We measure on handover day, when the keys are there, and install in the weeks after, so the boxes can go straight into the cabinet when you move. These are the districts where we do that most often.

That planning benefit is not a sales trick. If we are already working in your neighbourhood that week, it saves us travel time and half a day of setting up. We pass that saving on, up to 250 euros. Tell us on the phone that you are flexible with the date and we will see what fits the schedule.

Questions we get every week

How can you install within three weeks when others need eight?

Three reasons. We work with six finishes that our supplier keeps in stock, and the cutting, edging and drilling happens in one operation. We keep the hardware on our own shelf. And the same crew measures, makes and installs, so no drawing travels back and forth between parties. We usually manage two weeks; we promise three.

What if my walls are not straight?

They almost always are in older houses. We deliver the cabinet with a little clearance and with filler strips in the same finish that we cut to size on site. That way the cabinet meets wall and ceiling seamlessly, even if they are three centimetres out of true.

Is installation included in the price?

Yes, always. So are delivery with two people, shelf drilling, plinths, filler strips and removal of packaging. The estimate on this site is inclusive, and so is the quote. Moving sockets, pipes or radiators we do not do ourselves; we bring in an installer for that and you hear the cost in advance.

Can I have veneer, a lacquer colour or handleless doors?

Yes, as a second line. Then the three-week promise does not apply but a longer lead time, which we state in advance. Handleless with push-to-open is possible within the three weeks.

Do you work in my town?

Across South Holland, from The Hague and Leiden to Rotterdam and Dordrecht, and sometimes beyond. For The Hague city centre, Statenkwartier and Archipelbuurt we arrange the parking permit ourselves.

I have an IKEA PAX. Can you finish it to measure?

Often yes, and we will tell you honestly if PAX is the better choice. For an alcove, a sloping roof or a cabinet to the ceiling, made-to-measure is usually no more expensive than PAX with all the adaptations.

What does a made-to-measure cabinet cost per metre?

With us: built-in from 1,850 euros per metre, wardrobe and wall unit 2,350, walk-in 1,300, sloping roof 2,200 and alcove 1,950. All including installation, delivery with two people and VAT. Nationally the average is 1,250 to 1,750 per metre, but without installation or with a six to eight week lead time.

How long does a made-to-measure cabinet take?

The usual lead time in the Netherlands is four to eight weeks, six to eight at the large online suppliers. With us it is three weeks from approval to installed, and usually two. If we are later than the agreed installation day you get 100 euros off per working day, up to 1,000 euros.

Is a custom cabinet more expensive than an IKEA PAX?

A 2.5 metre PAX with doors costs 800 to 1,500 euros, assembled yourself. Our built-in of the same width, installed and up to the ceiling, costs 5,200 to 7,000 euros. With a straight wall and a temporary home, PAX is the better choice. With an alcove, a sloping roof or a three-metre ceiling, custom is often no more expensive than PAX with all the adaptations.

What is the standard depth of a built-in wardrobe?

Sixty centimetres, because that is the depth at which a coat hanger fits straight. For long coats or duvets eighty works, and in a narrow hallway we do thirty-five with sliding doors and a pull-out rail.

Can a cabinet go in an alcove or under a sloping roof?

Yes, and that is exactly what made-to-measure is for. In an alcove we measure at three heights because the walls never run parallel, and under a sloping roof we carry the angle into the side panels and the doors.

What is the difference between hinged and sliding doors?

Hinged doors give full access to the cabinet and are cheaper. Sliding doors take no space when open, and are the answer when a bed or another door sits in front of the cabinet. Sliding doors cost about twelve percent more.

Is installation included in the price of a custom cabinet?

With us always, as are delivery with two people, shelf drilling, plinths, filler strips and removal of packaging. Note that this is far from standard: many suppliers deliver a package and charge installation separately.

How much warranty do I get on a custom cabinet?

We give ten years on construction and hardware, as a PDF at handover. Plus a fit guarantee: if it does not fit as on the approved drawing, we adjust it free of charge.

Can I take a custom cabinet with me when I move?

The cabinet itself yes, because it stands on the floor and is fixed to the wall with a limited number of plugs. The filler strips are made for this house and are cut to size again in the new one.

What should I look for when comparing quotes for a custom cabinet?

Four things: whether installation and delivery are in the price, which board thickness and edging are used (18 mm with 2 mm ABS is the norm), which brand of hardware goes in, and whether the quote contains an installation date or only a lead time in weeks.
