Material that can handle a storage room
Melamine with glued ABS edging on adjustable feet, with an open plinth and a back panel away from the wall. Moisture and cold are then no problem. No MDF, which swells.
Washing machine and dryer
A cabinet around the washing machine and dryer, stacked or side by side, with ventilation grilles and a cut-out for the drain. Above it a shelf for detergent, beside it a tall cabinet for the ironing board and vacuum cleaner.
Children's bikes and pram
An open bay on the floor for the pram and a bike hook per child on the wall. Above that ceiling-height cabinets for what is only needed a few times a year.
In the garage
Cabinets along one wall, with a worktop in the middle for whoever does DIY. The same melamine, the same construction, the same three weeks.

Frequently asked questions
Is melamine strong enough for a garage?
Yes, with 18 mm board, glued edges and adjustable feet. For heavy tools we use a thicker shelf or a support.
Can the dryer go in a closed cabinet?
Only with ventilation grilles and an outlet for the warm air. We draw that up when measuring.
Do you also work in an unheated storage room?
Yes, that is exactly what this construction is meant for.
