Made-to-measure cabinets in Statenkwartier
Statenkwartier was built between 1900 and 1915, when the Frederik Hendriklaan got its shops. Wide townhouses and double upper-floor apartments, ceilings of three metres and more, en-suite rooms with sliding doors, and often a conservatory at the back. Almost every house has a chimney breast with two alcoves beside it, and an attic floor with a dormer.
- The alcove beside the chimney breast: 3,200 to 4,300 including installation and VAT
- 21 days from approval to installed
- Date guarantee: Every working day later than the agreed installation day, you get 100 euros off, up to 1,000 euros. Only if you move the date does this lapse.
What we make here most often
The alcove beside the chimney breast
Usually 110 to 135 centimetres wide, up to a ceiling of 3 metres or more. We make the two alcoves as one design, with the upper cabinets at the same height and the ceiling moulding left free.

The front en-suite room has often become a bedroom. A ceiling-height wardrobe along the side wall, with the en-suite sliding doors left free, is the standard request here.

Practical in this neighbourhood
Parking in Statenkwartier is paid and permit-only; we arrange the day permit for the van ourselves. Stairs to a double upper apartment are narrow and turn: the cabinet comes up in parts and is assembled on the floor itself.
Your price estimate in one minute
Four choices, an instant range. Then we call you to plan a measuring visit, if you want us to.
Give us a call. Within five minutes you know what your cabinet costs.
The estimate above is a range, because we have not seen your wall yet. On the phone we ask three questions and then you get a price you can count on. No sales talk, no emails back and forth.
- A price within five minutes instead of a range
- Planning benefit of up to 250 euros if you are flexible on the installation day
- A measuring appointment straight away, usually within three working days
Available on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays until 17:00.
That planning benefit is not a sales trick. If we are already working in your neighbourhood that week, it saves us travel time and half a day of setting up. We pass that saving on, up to 250 euros. Tell us on the phone that you are flexible with the date and we will see what fits the schedule.
Questions from this neighbourhood
Does the ceiling ornament stay intact?
Yes. The cabinet stops against the moulding or we leave a strip free. We mark it out when measuring, so you see it in advance.
My walls are crooked, is that a problem?
In houses from 1905 that is normal. We measure at three heights and use filler strips cut to size on site.
Can you build into the conservatory?
Yes, a low cabinet under the conservatory windows or a ceiling-height cabinet against the solid wall. Moisture and sun are the concern here; we recommend a matt melamine.
